Ryanair is interviewing all the Captains and First Officers tomorow at a location near to Ramsgate.

FR are short of pilots, so they would jump on the band wagon. It wouldn't surprise me if FR dropped the self-fund option for a while in order to get the front end sorted.

So Ryanair no longer have a queue of desperate wannabees knocking on the door with cash in hand for a job, so now they go sniffing around some freshly out of work and probably equally desperate guys to try and resolve their recruitment problems.

Ryanair know a lot of these guys who were McGoldrick junkies. One of the main EUjet pilots approached FR to do it.
Ryanair cannot be that desperate for pilots if they still charge £50 to apply on line, and still require you to fund your 737 course.

Hi Everbody!!
Just heard from a friend that easyJet are looking for DEP and are happy to consider F100 Exp Pilots.
Maybe worth applying on-line ASAP.
Better company than Ryanair and better conditions!!

Not the saviours they would appear to be. Have changed the goal posts.
2 turboprop chaps with minimal jet time = DEC
Captains with loads of jet time = F/O
Work that one out!!!

Hey Angel would it come to your etheral spirit that maybe the Jet captain was not up to speed for trivial things like:
-Airmanship
-Language
-Leadership
And so on... maybe they do some sort of selection at RYANAIR... maybe too you are that Jet captain... who knows:cool:

Captains are invited to do a B737-800 Type Rating Course at CAE Center Amsterdam.
Successful pilots will obtain a permanent position with Ryanair, Europe's number 1 low fares airline. Pilots responding to this add will, after successful assessment, have their Type Rating Course pre-financed with a 5 years bond.
Pilot requirements:
• 3500hrs Total
• 2000hrs JAR 25
• 1000hrs PI/C JAR 25 (> 20,000kgs)
• 500hrs PI/C on heavy jet (F100, BAE146, or similar)
Upon successful assessment and training, pilots will obtain:
• Permanent
• Outstanding salary
• Fixed roster
• Fixed base

The FI requirements are different to what is says on the website.
As to my previous post, the guys havent been interviewed yet. Dont know of many turboprops above 20T.
Believe the proposed interviews have been postponed by Ryanair.

How about the ATR 72, the Fokker 50 and the Dash 8. Three of the most popular turbo props about and all over 20 tonnes?
Irish Independent reports 27 capts and 60 FOs interviewed by FR, 34 offered contracts.

Turboprops have come along since my day. I stand corrected.
I believe there were only 24 captains and 22 F/o, give or take.
If there were that many, 27/60 then serious overcrewing for 4 a/c. Almost 11 crews per a/c by my calculations.
