Actually, the Type Certificate lists them as ERJ 170:

Model ERJ 170-100 LR
Model ERJ 170-100 STD
Model ERJ 170-100 SU
Model ERJ 170-100 SE
Model ERJ 170-200 STD
Model ERJ 170-200 LR

Canadian Type Certificate Data Sheet A-244 (http://www.tc.gc.ca/aviation/applications/nico-celn/en/getfile_inc.asp?x_lang=e&AFCflag=Y&doc_type=pdf&aprv_num=A-244&isu_num=1&isu_dt_start=2005%2D07%2D15+00%3A00%3A00&proj_num=050007)

US Type Certificate Data Sheet A56NM (http://www2.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgMakeModel.nsf/0/53eba7f7f67cc2bc86256f1f0066a0df/$FILE/A56NM.pdf)

However, the flight crew type rating designator is EMB 170:

Joint Operational Evaluation Board Report - Embraer 170/175 (http://www.jaa.nl/secured/Operations/Member%20Area%20JOEB/003%20JOEB%20Report/Embraer-170%20JAA%20JOEB%20Report.pdf)

ERJ170-200 according to the FAA
Embraer 175 according to the JAA
Embraer 175 for commercial reasons, ERJ170-200 for certification according to the Brazilian CTA.

Saw the 1st aircraft in Brazil last month, its a nice looking aircraft.

EMB, ERJ, WHATEVER .... THE REAL PROBLEM IS THAT THESE AIRCRAFT WERE ONLY BUILT IN 7/8 SCALE. THEIR SEATS ARE PRACTICALLY UNUSEABLE BY ANYONE OVER 6'.

IF AC DEFINE 'PROGRESS' AS REPLACING A319 SERVICES WITH TOY AIRPLANES, THEY CAN GIVE IN TO WESTJET NOW.

I PAYS ME MONEY, I TAKES A 737-700 ANY DAY ......

the toys are viable out of places like YHM (now that CJ and WJ have left). The 73x was not.

Pay some money for a SHIFT key while you're about it eh?

I'm over 6ft and havent found any problem with the seats!

Actually I'm looking forward to spending about 20 hours in one of those seats during our delivery flights!

I heard the seat pitch is actually going to be really long, and that AC was going to use this as a major selling feature to fill the seats.
Anyone?

told by a mechanic the other day that the CRJ705 is the CRJ 900 with reduced seating.
