Airlines flying into CFU over the last few years have been up against increasing arrival delays due to the lack of ramp space available to them.

Surely if an airline is allocated an arrival slot by the authourity then this should be honoured. If the airport can't handle other flights through lack of space then they should not be accepted.

Why should other airlines suffer the impact if they have been allocated slots first etc??

Fair point, but probably better being directed to Airfield Operations rather than ATC.

All Greek aerodromes are fully co-ordinated.
Unfortunately slots are allocated to and accepted by aircraft operators which are impossible for them to adhere to. For example slots are allocated to some German operators for early morning arrivals which would mean them having to take off before their departure aerodrome was open.
The second problem is that the Greek authorities do not monitor adherence to these aerodrome slots. Its a bit like having a speed limit and not enforcing it. Any un-enforced law will quickly cease to be observed.
So we descend into anarchy and a complete free for all.
CFMU got involved last year and an an aerodrome slot monitoring cell was going to be created in Greece. Unfortunately those responsible there have changed posts and the whole thing has been dropped.
The net result is that we now have to apply regulations to prevent overloads on the aprons and in the terminals at most of the Greek islands, and the poor holiday maker gets seriously messed about.
This summer has been another wasted opportunity to get to grips with this problem.
