Now that we have got the 2012 Olympics, I suppose that we can look forward to some sort of airspace restriction extending up the Lea Valley corridor, during the construction work and during the event itself.. :(

2012? The oil price will be $200 a barrell and EASA will have grounded us by then anyway!!!

Kolibear, the TRA may just fit in the M25.

I wish I were joking...... :(

I just think that the Lea Valley corridor will finally be defined as not being exempt from glide clear regs. The fields have become parks, over the years, but SEPs have continued to use this route.

In its current development status, there is nowhere you can legally go in the event of a forced landing if you are south of Chingford, other than in a reservoir.

If flying the Stratford, Hackney and Tottenham stretches of the Lea, you don't even have the option of a wet landing. You are in someone's loft or through an office window.

Thinking about the new version of Rule 5, it may rule out flying in this area already, with the "damage to property" wording.
