So what happened at Stansted this morning, had planes holding at Barkway,Laural etc, some Ryanair's were short on fuel and only had 15 x minutes holding time before they diverted. Whatever happened it was before 0900am

If it is the same thing we were told, a small hole in the runway which required repair for safety.

Nice dig! RYR short on fuel... had 15 mins or more than final and alternate reserves. So, they had more fuel than most operators carry, but you say they were short?

It was indeed for a minor runway repair. Got the call about 0725z advising it would be happening in about 20 minutes. Didn't have a major impact on our operation just led to a couple of "Late Inbounds" !
