ATPL IF Time

G'day all,

Would anyone know if any Synthetic Trainer instrument time can be counted towards the 75 hours IF time required for an ATPL. Was told a maximum of 25 hours can be counted. Just wondering if this was true?

CAR 5.172 (2) (c)
You must have.....
at least 75 hours of instrument flight time
CAR 5.173 (3)
For the purposes of paragraph 5.172 (2) (c), not more than 30 hours of instrument ground time may be substituted for an equal amount of the 75 hours of instrument flight time.
