747 into Dunsfold????

Hi,

Does anyone have any information about a 747-400 looked to have engine failure out of Gatwick. maybe air Atlanta??? but not sure. I live in West Sussex under departure path. About 7.35 this evening 747-400 was very low probably about 4-5000ft and circling with a very high nose attitude. After about 20 mins of low circling he strangely descended into Dunsfold aerodrome about 7 miles north of me. Thought very strange going in there as virtually unused.

Just thought was very strange, now i know.... Should keep a more active eye on the boards next time duhh..

It took off from Gatwick at somewhere around 5-6 last night then messed around in a visual circuit or two before making an approach. I believe they had to wake somebody up to occupy the tower!
