I think I've had a good idea:

All the threads which get locked and moved to another Forum - How about making the notice into a link, so if you want to follow that thread, you only have to click the link to be on the correct Forum? Would it work?

No can do. Software is far too complicated to dig up and redo. How's your PERL and CGI scripting skills?
