Hello everyone...just popped in from Rotorheads, where I normally dwell.
This is a serious request...and a longshot, I know.
A friend needs urgent help to fly her disabled, and now ill, 23-year-old daughter, Jilly, from Malaga to a waiting hospital bed in London. It's a long story, but Jilly cannot fly commercially. She needs to fly in a private plane to minimise the infection risk to her. She also must lie horizontally.
Chartering something will cost megabucks, which the family don't have. The insurance is ducking out by using the 'pre-existing condition' clause, even though Jilly has suddenly deteriorated while the family were trying to have a holiday...you get the picture.
The charity Angel Flight is on the case already, but if anyone has any bright ideas???
Thanks guys!
Dan

CEGA Air Ambulance? Don't know how much it would cost but they have a fully medically equipped King and Queen Air. Based at Goodwood in Chichester.

The option may well be an overland in an ambulance. Any air option is going to be extremely expensive.

Yet another salutary warning to all to ensure that their insurance is both adequate and appropriate!

Am pleased to report a gallant British pilot who is on a biz trip to Madrid in his own Piper has volunteered via Angel Flight to ferry Jilly to London.
Thanks to one and all.
