I was wondering if anyone was able to tell me the standard vortex separation and what it really is? I read it was 3nm or 5nm but was reading through this site and they were talking about 8nm. does it vary?

:ugh: Uh? I know i've been on leave for 2 cycles (bliss!!) but i'm sure when i left the vortex wake spacing for a light behind a small was 4 miles? Don't you mean a light behind a heavy is 8 miles?:ok:
