Hi,

I'm sorry if this had already been answered before, but the
search gave me to many hits.

I'm going to go to the USA this summer to get my PPL and
I want to know what kind of insurance I will be needing to
cover any damage to the aircraft caused by me.
(That's not my objective, but I just want to be well
insured so I can fly with the least of worries! ;) )

Thanks!

You should be covered by the schools insurance but if you are worried about it then contact them before you go.

your school should be covered, should you wreck the plane, but you will ofcourse need class two sports insurance/or quivalent. Im missing the 60dycut off by three days, so my premium jumped from 90quid to 220 :-( for the sake of three days, awwwwwww :-(.

Yeah, the schools insurance covers a crash to sort out the plane, the travel insurance sorts you out, in the unlikely event.

Thank you both for your answers!

@ikea
Do I need the sports insurance on top of the travel insurance,
or does it replace the travel insurance?

Seen that some places require renters insurance.

http://www.aopaia.com and a few others do it.
