Not sure about the 'real-time' bit but this is just one (http://www.terraserver.microsoft.com/) of several sites that give you access to their pictures.

If you are looking for the US try google maps (http://maps.google.com/) and click on - Satellite at the top right hand side. Again not real time but they are more recent than terra_sever. Hopefully it will become world wide soon.
