The Welcome Desk at the airport will be attended from 0600-2100 Friday and Saturday and 0600-1600 Sunday.
If you arrive outside these times please go to the airport information desk. We will leave a limited number of SKYBUS tickets (Bus to the city) for those registered for IFATCA 2005.
If you arrive before Friday, we will be unable to arrange transport for you, we apologise however, it is out of our hands. You can buy a SKYBUS ticket for $13 AUD.
Please present your ticket to the driver or attendant when boarding the SKYBUS (Red Bus). SKYBUS collects passengers from two locations at Melbourne Airport. Outside the Virgin Blue and Qantas Domestic Arrivals Area.
SKYBUS will take you to their City Bus Terminal, located in Spencer Street (approximately 20-30 minutes). This is close to all the Conference Hotels. You may wish to take advantage of the free Hotel Transfer service offered by SKYBUS if you are staying in the City, which operates between 6am-7pm Mon-Fri and 8am-6pm Sat and Sun.
You have to pre-book the transfer bus 3 hours prior to departure for City pick-ups on return. Return SKYBUS tickets will be available from 21 to 24 April (still to be finalised); if you are leaving earlier or later we will not be able to provide a SKYBUS ticket.
Expect to pay between $35 and $40 AUD for a TAXI to/from the city.
