BEagle stated (on another thread) that this is the case with Jar licences.

If I added an SLMG rating to my SSEA and Microlight ratings, could I Keep the SSEA rating current using its hours?

Reason for asking is the possibility of training as a civvy instructor with the cadets.

Interestingly, when describing currency needs for micro and slmg, Lasors refers to the hours being flown in an aircraft of the same class. For SSEA, it doesn't EXPLICITLY say ' flown on an SSEA aircraft'.

So can the others be counted?

Cheers

The proposal for keeping multiple NPPL Class Ratings valid by flying defined minimum hours on each has been agreed by the NPPL Policy and Steering Committee for quite a while now. But the CAA has done nothing about it since last June, which was the last time they called a meeting of the NPPL P&SC. So, for the moment, you will have to keep each Class Rating valid independently.

Sorry - but the blame for this lies directly with the CAA!
