Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I hope I am in the right place to ask this question. Please excuse me if I am not. I am a helicopter pilot and I have the pleasure of travelling coach with you guys quite often. The question I have is why can I use my laptop with wireless networking on board and not my cell phone. When I power up the computer the first thing it does is search for a network. exactly the same as my phone. I am looking for a please explain. Many thanks.

Fly Safe.

Auscan,

You can't (at least in BA). Cellphones must be off at times from engine start to shutdown and devices which transmit/receive data must have those functions disabled if switched on after take off - I think bluetooth headsets are exempted.
