Hi,
Im about as new to this flying as you can get - Im looking to do my PPL in the next up and coming months,

I've looked at loads of clubs within America but haven't made a decision yet. I know this is a Highly touched topic but never the less

Can anyone recommend this school ; http://www.ukft.com/.

The Web page looks very good!!

Thanks in advance

May I suggest you enter the name of the establishment into the search page and see what comes up.

I'm sure you'll come up with some useful information. UKFT is not a new name on the scene, so there is bound to be some info about them in previous postings.

Good luck!

I did my PPL with them. I did the FAA PPL which I am using to fly here in the UK. I did my UK radio licence which is required to be able to use the radio here.

Long Beach is an excellent airport to learn from. I can assure you that none of the training airports even come close in comparision.

Here is the CAA link as far as whether your FAA PPL is vaild in the UK or not:

http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?categoryid=137&pagetype=70&groupid=170&faqid=208

If in doubt whether you can use your PPL here or not then contact the CAA. I noticed that many UK flying schools are not completely familiar with the regulations.

Good luck..
