On 19th April 2000, an Air Philippines B737 crashed during a circling approach on the Southern Philippines island of Samal. 131 were killed. The crew had made an approach to runway 05 in low cloud via the VOR approach, but it seems they had to go-around due another aircraft backtracking the runway. The crew then decided to land on the reciprocal runway via circling, but went a long way beyond the circling area and hit a hill.
There are plenty of references to the accident available via Google, but these are media reports only. I am sure that five years later the Final Report would have been completed, but I am unable to locate a copy on the Internet.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to obtain a copy of the final report of the accident investigation?
