North Weald "Fly In" 6 March..
Good God....! What happened? Thanks everyone!!
There were 242 recorded movements in "Air Traffic" plus those that were lost in the system! That means at least 125 Visitors. And, officially, it wasnt even a Fly In !
The NW Airfield Users Group was absolutely amazed with the turn out, which just goes to demonstrate the amount of support for this unique facility. We have are yet to add up the number of "comments" to the dreaded "East of England Assembly Report" but it must be at least 500! All will be collated and sent off.
We were particularly touched by the guys from Dover who said that they still had 6 ins of Snow, and, when asked about take off performance, quietly announced that they had driven here to support us!
And the guys in a Colt, who had flown all the way from Woodvale, stopping overnight at Bicester to meet up with the Leopard Moth... and the Rapide from Duxford... and...those that dindt have PPR so quietly went away and away and came back later...It goes on and on and on...
These were just a few I got the time to talk to! I am sure there were many, many, more similar performances.
