Hi,

i'm just looking at an Aerad En Route Low Alititude chart.

Can anyone tell me what the * after e.g. FL75* means?

Because on alot of them it says something like this:

e.g. A47 FL65 FL75* but what does the * mean....is it the lowest available FL for that airway and FL65 the base of the airway?

Many thanks,

Only reference to asterisks I can find is that it designates navaid operation or service as not continuous.

In the example FL65 FL75* the FL65 is the lower vertical limit and the FL75* is the min usable flight level.

Hope this helps.

e.g. A47 FL65 FL75* but what does the * mean....is it the lowest available FL for that airway and FL65 the base of the airway? Not totally familiar with Aerad's (I use Jepps) but according to the UK AIP that's correct. (UK AIP gives the lowest level to be allocated for each direction of travel).
