Good to see GA at Shoreham is in good hands......

Councillor Don Turner, chairman of the Shoreham Airport Owner's Board, said the wishes of residents had been taken into account. He said: "We did wide-scale consultation and the results were not ignored." Coun Turner also disputed claims that a new runway would be bad for the environment or create added health risks. He said: "The expansion that has been discussed is actually likely to result in less pollution as it would be larger but fewer aircraft using the facilities. "Small aircraft create a lot more pollution than the larger planes"

It was in response to a long winge from the anti-airport fraterinity

From a small-scale aerodrome, Shoreham now operates regular scheduled services to the Channel Isles and France.



Guess that means Shoreham is now a "large" airport then :rolleyes:
