I have been in the Aviation industry for 47 years(RAF/ Civvy street),getting old & have been interested in mysteries of the air for most of that time. I have had many conversations with pilots
regarding UFO's & static electricity effects. I did witness St. Elmo's Fire once on the flight deck which was amazing. Was told of "a ball of light" travelling through the cabin at 37,000 feet in seperate incident.
Pilots are guarded about the subject "More than my careers worth" & "Keep your mouth buttoned". With the increase in air travel there seems to be a decrease in these reports, but is this the case ? Was it just an effect of the "Cold War" in the 1950's ?
The testing of Stealth technology ? Is there something out there ? As I said I'm getting old & would like some answers before I shuffle off this mortal coil ! ;)
