When flying in the US, I notice some differences in WX info and Atis from what we pick up in europe. What sometimes distracts me a bit in the US is that there seems not to be a determined sequence of the readout of the ceiling (clouds). In europe you are always informed of what I would call "what is where". A typical european Atis would be like :few 700´, broken 1500´, overcast 3000´ etc.. This same WX in the US would be all reverse or a part of it like; few 700´, 1500 broken´, 3000´overcast. I don´t know which one is the "correct" one, but I prefer it the european way. However. there are many other things much better or simpler in the US, like most SID´s...Any comments you ATC folks?
