Can a STAR end terminate on a heading ?

Hello all,

Just a quick technical question.

Does ICAO have any recomendations (or not)regarding a Standard Arrival Route ending on a heading.

Any reference to the doc's appreciated.

I did some work on SIDs and STARs in the mid 80s. As far as I can recall there was no problem on a STAR ending on a TRACK but not a heading. PANS OPS something had the info - can't remember which Doc though. I will check through my papers for some refrence, e-mail me when you have a chance.
