Dear Friends,

I'm curious about how to properly execute a go around procedure on MD-82s.
How the auto-spoiler responds to thrust lever activity, flaps setting, attitude & trim and the autothrottle logic.

And regarding anti-skid activation sensor, is it true that the logic in MD-82s activated by the wheel turning on MLG?
What the case if the MLG is experiencing hydroplanning?
Does it mean that the anti-skid system does not work (engaged)?

Thanks heaps!

Well, Let me see.

First, a few of the 82's I've flown are different. Some have auto-brake, some don't. (option to not have).

If you power up before wheel spin up, the spoilers never deploy and you just disarm them with the take-off checks. You need to disarm or bad things can happen with the re-extention of the gear.

If the wheels have spun-up, then just power-up and the spoilers will automatically retract with thottle movement. about 1/2.

Anti-skid is with spin-up but becomes active at very low speed ... without looking I think 10 to 12 knots. The old 9's have to turn off anit-skid on the ramp to avoid possible brake fail (anti-skid activate) approaching gate.

If you need more, let me know.
