Hi all,

Please excuse me for wasting your time but I hoped to get your advice before irritating any of the pilots forii. As u may/may not know we run a Virtual ATC organisation and try and do u all proud by replicating the UK airspace - thanks to all of u who help and support us.

Anyway - I am flying on VS 5 and 6 in Jan for my first long haul trip since I was really small and was wondering what if any the chances of jumpseats / flightdeck visits are these days - I assume that I have not got a cat in hells chance, but figured I would ask anyway.

Dan,

The only questions you ever ask are stupid ones :)

Email me with the days you are flying out and back and I may be able to help you.

You know where to find me :)

I asked on RyanAir the other day and got a polite "No, sorry. We can't because of security" answer - even when I flashed my ATC'er credentials

Maybe the PF thought - "Pah!!! Manch ATC, NO BLOODY CHANCE MATE!!!!!!!!!!!" :) :)

I had the same response every time since 9/11, even when showing my ATC-ID card
"sorry, but due to security concern we do not allow anybody in the cocpit anymore"
I don't blame them, but I don't think ATC'ers pose as much of a danger on the plane, as they do on the ground! (just joking!)
