Here's a article from ezine AVWeb (march, 29 issue):

"...AIRLINES TO TAKE OVER BRITISH ATC: The British government announced
Tuesday that a consortium of seven airlines will take over management of
the United Kingdom's air traffic control system, marking the first time
ATC has been privatized in Europe. The Airline Group, which includes
British Airways, BMI British Midland, Virgin Atlantic, EasyJet, Monarch
Airlines, Airtours International Airways and Britannia Airways, will
hold a 46-percent stake in the system. The group has agreed to invest
more than $1 billion in the system."

...care to comment anyone?
