QUOTE from a Prospect (formerly IPMS) letter to union members at an airport somewhere in East Anglia, following a presentation by Safeskys to the airport company:

The MD of Safeskys stated that he is growing his company to a size "where London City will consider Safeskys for their ATC contract".
He also (allegedly) says that he has "beaten the competition and been asked to provide a 'best and final' offer to provide ATC at Gloucesterhire Airport".


:eek: He also stated (and this was challenged by a union rep' who was present), that in his view, atco's needed to be made to realise that they cannot mess airports about. If anyone crossed him then he would ensure that they would not get a job in ATC. :eek:

I bet everyone at Gloucester is fighting to get to the front of the queue to sign up for them :rolleyes: :D .

Hmm, Serco were also asked to provide a 'best and final' but the way I heard it, no-one has Gloucester in the bag, as they have decided to continue in-house.

Can't believe anyone there would want to work for Richard. As for the 'never get a job in ATC' threat, is he really that powerful? :rolleyes:

I seem to recall that a Serco manager made some equally stupid, arrogant and unprofessional remarks when meeting IPMS and they thought that they were about to take over the world!

So, I am led to believe <img src="wink.gif" border="0"> that the ATC staff at Gloucester have been informed that Gloucestershire Airport will be the ATC provider for the foreseeable future.
