If any of you guys and girls require details about flying in Calgary please pm me as I am a British Instructor living over here in Canada. I can offer advice on training and hour building etc etc.

Ah!

Yes I would like to do some flying in the Rockies. I am living and working in Calgary at the moment.

Any recommendations where to go. We found a 172 for about $80/hour.

I have only just renewed my rating and hope to begin Instructing in January and I have a couple of potential jobs lined up.
In the meantime I can arrange for checkouts or even training in the Calgary/ Springbank area where I can get my hands on a C152 for 85 per hour.
