Do you mean renewal by experience ?
Beagles thread does not address this issue......

I suspect Mike means renewal of a 5 year JAR PPL.
However, he could also mean the 2 year revalidation of his SEP Class Rating...

Thanks BEagle, it is the 5 year renewal.
Your link has helped, I had looked at the Lasors but a 'renewal' search did not work.

A document with which you are intimately familar, eh Blueline?
But why doesn't it say 're-issue' instead of 'renewal'?
'Re-validate' - something you do with a current rating before it expires.
'Renew' - something you do to get back a rating which has expired.
'Re-issue' - something you have to do do every 5 years because the JAA says so, no matter how current and valid your ratings are:mad:.
'Re-authorise' - something an Examiner has to do every 3 years, no matter how current his/her ratings are.
