Just heard this evening 3/nov/ 5 pm'ish a BA 737 flying into toulouse had a friendly escort by two french airforce jets!
French atc didn't believe it was a genuine Ba flight even though they were operating on the speedbird callsign!
Can anybody elaborate on this?

Yes - exactly... I cannot think of a better place to discuss in detail security incidents and procedures :(

Probably just another 'play at fighter pilots' practice for the L'Armee de Froggies - short of targets again:D
didn't believe it was a genuine Ba flight even though they were operating on the speedbird callsign - reckon it was a 'FRANCHise' then Noddy?

If I were not on a meter line I would post a link about previous escort particularly in France.

Thats nice of our chums across the channel, they normally wait for the aircraft requiring an intercept to be in someone elses airspace and become someone elses problem! Would have to be a BA flight though wouldnt it.........
