Interesting to note that the "people's Prime Minister" - good old Tony, was declared as having "Head of State" status for his holiday flight to Carcassonne on the low cost airline Ryanair. I wonder if Her Majesty the Queen is aware that she no longer has this status? Of course, Tony has not yet openly declared his new position, but at least it meant that even if not travelling on state business but merely going on holiday with the "working folk", he avoided any chance of a delay!

Used to be endless fun in the briefing office leaving the Head of State priority off the Australian Prime Minister's Flight Plans.
There is now a special priority (Australia only I suppose) for VIP/PRIMIN. Considering the brain-dead wally we have in the position now is such an ardent, boot-licking monarchist I am continually surprised he uses it.
