what that little star above the airport means on a sectional map.
I'm new to flying and I can't find explenation anywhere.

Have a look at the chart legend.

However from memory -

If it is something like FL *

That is a flashing light.

If it is something like 123.45 *

Then that indicates that the frequency operates "less than continuous or on request".

Note the stars are slightly different so check the chart legend.

Does it mean becon light at an airport ?

Maybe I didn't explain it right. If you look at map some airports have a star right above the airport. Star has an empty circle inside it.
If it's a flashing light like legend says then what is it ?

Airports:

Star (with a hollow circle in the centre) indicates rotating airport beacon in operation from Sunset to Sunrise.

Airport Data:

Star (solid) indicates operation part-time. See tower fequencies tabulation for hours of operation.
