View Full Version : MAN/EGCC Visit

A friend of mine, Katie Marshall is hoping to one day work in ATC and I am just wondering if it would be possible to arrange an ATC visit for her(and her Mother?) to give her a boost of inspiration and an insight into the operation of a major airport's ATC.
I am asking this as I know how my recent(ish) jumpseat ride gave me a load more inspiration to become an airline pilot and I'm sure an ATC visit would have the same effect on Katie.
If anybody can help, please get in touch.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

We are quite busy at Manch at the moment and I don't believe that we usually do tours for non-connected individuals (anyone other than pilots, other ATCOs etc etc)

Your best bet is to write to;

Training Department,
NATS Manchester,
Control Tower Building,
Manchester Airport,
Manchester.
M90 2PL.

and ask them very very nicely, I'm sure if they're not oo busy they would be only too pleased to help. Don;t be offended if you get a negative answer though - they are quite busy....

....unless you've already had an offer from a fellow Ppruner of course!

Hope this is of some use

Many thanks.
Last October I had a trip around MAN, which is why I asked but I'll get a letter sent to them.
