Can't really say much in a public forum but I am looking for a lawyer who is experienced in employment law. The person involved is a user of the forums as are other members of the same company so obviously isn't keen to post details regarding this problem.

The person involved cannot afford to spend huge sums of money and unfortunately isn't a member of any workplace union, they maybe entitled to legal aid however.

Please reply via PM if appropriate. Recommendations based on experience or use of said lawyer are preferable.

Thanks.

Just a suggestion, but maybe a clue what continent you are looking on for the lawyer, if not the country, might help.

If not covered by a union how about checking for cover with a professional institute, or even via a home insurance policy, AA cover? The latter two obvioulsy may not have specialists on hand but will be able to guide on principles and process - like evidence gathering...

As I said difficult to say much without being specific to the case but it's not the sort of job that has professional bodies. Not sure about the insurance one but I ll suggest it.

Lots of evidence in form of letters, emails, recorded 'incidents', etc. but its knowing what to do with it, if indeed there is anything that can be done... a few solicitors from the Yellow Pages were tried but all were non-commital on advice or potential outcome until money paid. CAB gave some general advice but said they were out of their depth and could only really advise contacting solicitor.. :(

It wasn't so long ago that some solicitors would, through the CAB, offer some of their time for free.

It was possible to get a thirty minute interview which may just provide enough information upon which to base a decision to push forward or abandon.

Might be worth checking with the CAB again?

If you send a pm I can suggest a large solicitors company in Central London who concentrate on employment law:hmm:

You could try RED = Resolve Employment Disputes. They have handled aviation employment matters.

Or

Simpson Millar. They act for BALPA

In either case enquire about their no win no fee option.

Best of luck and do not give up on your cause.
