I am advertising my 1/4 share in a Blackbushe based TB-10 and have been contacted by a pilot training for his ATPL keen to 'buy' a block 50 hours on it, presumably for hours building. It is not operated on a public category CofA. I am pretty sure that I am not permitted to do this but would appreciate someone in the know setting the record straight.

You're right. It would need a transport category C of A to be hired out. Also, for a private syndicate aircraft, your insurance may not be compatible with a non-owner being P1 except (according to many policied) for a syndicate member receiving instruction from a qualified instructor. (However the insurance point is a question for your particular policy).

WOD-DET-DVR,

Check your PMs.

(Ah, turns out I can't PM you. Any idea's why, anyone?)
