Just heard this story:
A El-Al crew overflying Hungary one fine summer evening could'nt get a request for a route change through, because of atc's bad english?!?!??!

They had a problem but no one understood their request. Fortunately there was hebrew speaking controller there whom helped them get the request through.

Has anyone else have a simmilar problem in Hungary?

This sounds rather unlikely....

The way I heard it said it was a Speedbird crew over the USA - far more likely !!!

Reminds me of a RAF E-3D trip using a NATO callsign, with a French pilot speaking German to Vienna Centre to try and get clearance into Hungarian airspace!?!
