Interesting to see that VS are thinking about where to fly the new A340's. Some nice competition for BA ! Still annoying that charter operators are allowed to wet lease aircraft from within the tour company, rather than use some spare capacity that exists within the UK, both crews and aircraft. <a href="http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/213/or2number2.pdf" target="_blank">CAA website</a>. . . . <small>[ 19 March 2002, 16:11: Message edited by: Nobert Colon ]</small>

So where's the news on the Go licenses? I guess they are eastern European destinations.

I can't see anything on that link either, here is the real one,note you will need Acrobat to view. .. .<a href="http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/213/or2number3.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/213/or2number3.pdf</a> . .. .Also, have a glance at. .<a href="http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/213/or2number1.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/213/or2number1.pdf</a> . .for KLMUK Stansted to Budapest. . . . <small>[ 19 March 2002, 20:54: Message edited by: G-BPEC ]</small>

Not sure what the problems are but will try again. Use the link below, it directs you to the CAA website within the the ATOL website. It is a summary of route licence applications that have been granted. Go-fly are on page 4 of 6. I am using adobe acrobat to view it.. .. . <a href="http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/213/or2number2.pdf" target="_blank">Route licences</a> . .. .Otherwise go to the CAA website and search for route licences.. .Best of luck.

Yeah, I keep getting a box that says "an internal error has occurred". Not surprising I suppose, we are dealing with the CAA!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" /> . .. .So, can anyone enlighten poor, deprived browsers like Crewrest and myself just who's applied for what? Please....!. .. .Mucho gracias, muchacho - or something like that....

I'm having Acrobat problems here now too, but off the top of my head, the Go ones were from Stansted to Krakow, Warsaw and Istanbul, Virgin were from Heathrow to various Australian cities, and there were also some from Love Air for licences around the Channel Islands. Also Brymon to operate to Geneva from Manchester on behalf of BA, and a series of the usual BA ones from the UK to Jersey.. .. .Hope this helps, I think perhaps you need version 4 or above to view the links.... .. .G-BPEC

Do you think VS would want the Ozzie ones to operate themselves or to codeshare with SQ? If it were for themselves then why have any codesharing?

Perhaps slight off the thread. There has been talk over here in NZ of VS joining the STAR alliance, with Virgin Blue (their Aussie domestic stuff) being linked as an Air NZ feeder (in place of Ansett). However, they code share to KUL with Malaysian (and onwards to Ozzie destinations) - so would they be through KUL, or Changi, and would the code share end (sorry if this is obvious on the CAA link, not looked at that yet!)

None of the links work for me... Can anyone just list a few of the proposed Virgin routes.... .. .I am presuming Australia or South America for the A340s.... Please confirm with a list for those unable to link up!. .. .Cheers

Nobert:. .. .How do you get to the OR2 list? I can find the current one via your link, but cannot navigate through the revised CAA site to find it. Can you post a navigation guide to get there? Thanks!

The KLMuk application for Budapest is pretty academic as they are not a UK carrier (100% dutch owned), and cannot gain access to Non-European routes from the UK. . .. .The UK caa will have no issue (they are open to competition), but those on the other end will, just like the Polish CAA objected two years ago to UK's STN - WAW.
