Need some help here:
Anyone operating on Quioto, ecuador ,eventually with 737?
How do you cope with the high altitude 9300' ? What authorization is required in order to operate there with a 737?
What can you tell about operating there?
We'll have to make a flight there, and we did't fly untill now at altitudes higher than 6000' ,also the 737 is limited at 8400'.
But there are 737's flying at higher altitudes( La paz for ex.),and I would like to know what kind of authorization is required in order to operate a 737 at altitudes higher than 8400'.
Thks Alex

I believe you need the high altitude MC from Boeing. :)

I think Boeing would charge for a flight manual amendment and advise you, but you can find a brief article on the subject at www.b737.org.uk which offers a little insight.

Title is La Paz, just a short article by a pilot (737-300) regarding the practicalities of operating into that sort of airport.

I've read it but it says nothing about a required authorization.
Would such a auth. be issued by Boeing or the Caa?
