With reference to the CAA UK Air ground radio service provided at some airfields.

Does anyone know if some airports have a A/G service manual / training document in order to train new operators in areas such as local procedures and to familiarise themselves with local emergency instructions and also to keep up to date and current with emergency call outs of the airport fire service and county services?

Any help on this matter would be of grate benefit.

Thanks

I think you'll find that this sort of stuff is the responsibility of the airport authority and will be covered in the Aerodrome Manual.

Hi,

AFAIK there is no legal requirment for formalised local instructions for A/G services. The only requirement is for the licence holder to brief the operator on the service to be provided. (You'll find that one airfield's A/G may be far removed from anothers).

Local instructions ARE required for FIS.
