Had a really great time here and saw some beautiful flying in less than ideal conditions from the boys and girls!

22kt gusting crosswinds aren't what I would have thought ideal for public aero displays that include Turbulents and Tiger Moth variants, but I didn't see a landing that wasn't pretty perfect, and my thanks to the organisers and pilots involved. The howl from the Mustang taking off was worth the trip by itself....

They're nothing special, but if this link works I've dumped the shots on my Yahoo site in case your aircraft was performing:

I particularly liked the 6-man Yak flights - their closing display was most effective against those clouds. Sorry that it was into sun!

Rather upsettingly I tried to fly into this - took off admidst dreadful turbulance, radio started playing up, decided I'd had enough of this nonsense and landed again back at home. One of the more, er, busy approaches and lands in my flying career and that was less of a crosswind than at Gransden, so I'm very impressed it all went so well. And gutted to miss it. Hope the weather didn't spoil things too much. :(

If I'd known it was on... by PA28 it's literally about four minutes from here!

Ah well, there's next year :)
