FI (R ) renewal

it seems to renew a lapsed rating you have to do a seminar as well as a flt test .
Anyone had experience of this ie. cost location was it worth it etc ...

You need two out of three of :-

A flight test.
A seminar.
Recent experience (can't remember what).

The "recent experience" is 100 hour INSTRUCTING in the last 3 years, 30 hours of which must be in the last year! http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif ;)
