View Full Version : Fast TRE/IRI course from scratch - where ?

I am considering doing a IRI/TRE (or what that is called) so that I can instruct for instrument and twin ratings, proficiency checks and type ratings.

A friend of mine just did that, with "learning and teaching", instrument theory, a ground test and a CAA flight test. He didn't have to do all the VFR stuff for PPL/CPL, but he cannot teach PPL/CPL as he is NOT an FI. And IRI/TRE is what I want.

Next IRI course here is not set up at the time being in any of the schools that I know of, so I am interested in going somewhere to get this JAR IRI rating, and since it will be "away from home", an intensive course is wanted. The practical 10 hours flying and flight test I can do here any time.

I do have more than the required IFR 800 flight hours. I only have a national CPL/IFR ME FZ ATPL, so I must be able to do it without converting to JAR CPL, as I will lose my FZ ATPL if I do that.

Thank you for your help.
