For those planning to fly this weekend south of the Gatwick zone you might want to give Chailey, East Sussex a wide berth.

See Mauve 122 for details here (http://www.ais.org.uk/aes/pubs/aip/pdf/aic/4M122.PDF)

or see the website chailey airshow (http://www.chaileyairshow.com)

It's unusual for such a large airshow to be held "in a field" albeit one which played a significant part in D Day as an ALG (advanced landing ground)

Wow!! Temporary Restricted Airspace is to be avoided at the best of times. It's just as well I've got a landing slot both days:ok:

Zlin - you lucky old thing! Me and 2 similar types could only agree on one day - we'll be there on Sunday at 12H.

The restricted airspace is shown up to 2400 QNH. Presumably one can fly over it at 2450? Might not be wise.

Good luck to the organiser who, I understand, runs the model shop in Ditchling!

Lets hope for a safe one eh ?

An extension upto 3000ft QNH has been agreed with LTCC Ops, providing Gatwick are on 26, so sneaking over the top at 2450ft might not be such a good idea.
