Don't know about these aircraft, but Aeroflot has had Boeings for a good few years now! Also have at least 1 A320.

Aeroflot has gone for a mix of A319 and A320 aircraft with deliveries started last October. Nice new colour scheme too...

Don't know if these are the ones but Condor recently sold a number of 757-200's to Russia, albeit that they were not for Aeroflot.

Apparently, these are not from Condor and they are not for Aeroflot but for some other airline, don't know which

Condor's 757-200's are going to VIM Airlines.

You did good. Perhaps you misunderestimated yourself! (As a certain Presidente might say).

Transaero is another Russian carrier that has been flying Boeings for some years (737s and 757s).

Transaero's 757's were repossessed in 1998 when they started to be unable to pay their bills so info bit dated :) - they now have a few 737-300/400's and a couple of 767's which have appeared in last 18 months as lease rates are so cheap in short term with acft parked up even TSO appears a good bet, 757's are not for TSO :E

Boss Raptor:
Transaero still have a few 737-200's about at DME... I've spotted at least three parked around the airport... one without engines. Awaiting a buyer I guess. But no takers.....

As for the 757's, I heard a rumour (Moscow Times online I think) a few months ago that the Alfa Group was moving into the Airline Business.

Could also be for Sibair...

Anyone have any up to date news?

[Edited change DMO to DME... doh!]

The TSO 732's at DME are christmas tree'd for parts in 2002, another was seized by the airport authority at SVO when TSO moved to DME as they left unpaid bills 4 years ago - hasn't moved since...1 was sold to Indonesia around 2002

Alfa Group are a merchant bank who have loan/debt interests in a number of carriers, 757's are not for Sibir

aaaah VIM is that whose those 757's are. Saw one at AYT the other week; we had a bit of a giggle at the paint scheme - I was convinced it said 'Liar Airlines'

Yes Vim also made the error that 'VIM' in cyrillic looks like 'BUM' and on the original paint plan I saw one side was going to say 'Bum-abna' Vim-avia - sadly they spotted this little prob

I've been flying to Moscow-Domodedovo (UUDD/DME) quite often
recently. Some time ago these 757's were parked there still in Condor colours. Now they are VIM-Airlines with a new pinkish
paint but the belly is still Condor-grey. From time to time I could see one of the planes beeing prepared for a flight or parked at a
jetty to disembark passengers. But most of the time they seem to be just parked at the airport.
And about TRANSAERO: they seem to be quite active with several 737 and some 767. I've encountered them westbound over Poland and I've seen them at Barcelona. There are also some
canibalised (old) 737 from TRANSAERO at DME.

Cheers, jojodel

Is the 'for Russia' bit correct? If not could the 5 757s be related to the thread in Airlines & Airports area about a planned new transtlantic locost called Atlantic Express?
