Hi all.

I am trying (with some luck) to track down the internet references for different country's regulations w.r.t. survivial equipment that is to be carried on a flight in a remote area (in particular land ops).

I have found the following, but am not sure if they are at all comprehensive. I would appreciate input from people more familiar with their own national regs.

Transport Canada
Transport Canada's survival equipment requirements (http://www.tc.gc.ca/aviation/REGSERV/CARAC/CARS/cars/602e.htm#602_61) A vague but comprehensive list!

New Zealand CAA
Having trouble with NZ's new regs. Found the following in 91.523. Gives little more info than extinguishers life rafts and first aid kits though. Any kiwis care to help? part 91 (http://www.caa.govt.nz/rules/part091_brief.htm)

JAR
Does not seem as though the applicable reg is avialable on line. I am reluctant to fork out the USD$1350 :eek: just to access that snippet of info. Could someone with access to the JAR's post the reference for me pls?

USA - FAA
FAR 91.513 (http://ecfr.gpoaccess.gov/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=ecfr&sid=98292f878353a6b61677129f4a9f1b0d&rgn=div8&view=text&node=14:2.0.1.3.10.6.7.7&idno=14) like NZ lists only the first aid kit, megaphone and fire extinguisher. Not survival equipment per se. Any more ideas? I have also heard reference to a specific Alaska directive requiring carriage of a gun, 2 weeks food etc. Any pointers there? I believe it's in the Alaska Supplement of the AIM. But my copy of the AIM does not have an Alaska supplement. :{

Australia - CASA
Equipment suitable for sustaining life for the area being overflown. CAO 20.11 7.1 and appendix III (http://www.casa.gov.au/download/orders/Cao20/2011.pdf) I guess if you starve to death you've broken the law! :ugh:

International - ICAO
Help required to find their regs!
