My kid's school is looking for items to be donated to be auctioned off to raise school funds. I have donated a product associated with my business (service industry) but it has led me to wonder what the legal implications were if I was to offer a free flight.

At the moment it would entail me hiring out a club aircraft for the lucky winner and flying them around for an hour let's say and then returning them to where they started!

Although I wouldn't actually be making any money, indeed it would be costing me money, would this be legal?

If I were in the future to have my own plane (probably PFA) would that change the position?

Please note Mr CAA if you are reading this I have not done this as yet, But would be interested in a definitive answer.
