Went for my medical yesterday, same bloke I've been going to for a while... Dr Tallent at Gatwick. Mentioned for the first time I was a flying instructor and discovered they do a special rate for instructors, because we're all so poor. £50 for the standard, £77 with the ECG. Not a giveaway, but much cheaper than I paid last time. Does anyone know of a cheaper Class One medical?

Dr Gordon Sharp, (in Stirling, Scotland) also does a £50 instructor-only discount renewal, for those of you who live a little further north ...

Dewi Morgan in West Grimstead, near Salisbury, does reasonably priced medicals.
Even did my Australian class 2 for an extra tenner some years ago . . .

Can you post the tel number of the good Doctors who do these. I've just been charged £152 for medical with ECG. Only wish I'd read this thread before last Friday. When it comes around in six months I'll be going elsewhere me thinks!!
