Gentlemen,

I'm trying to give a hand to a group of fellow pilots who are looking for an overseas contract. Most of them are experienced professionals who have been either furloughed or lost their jobs for their companies ceased operations. I'm talking about pilots who found an opportunity to begin a new career far away from home.

As most of the pilots are longtime out of job (more than 18 months) they are now trough the revalidation process which means ground/simulator training. In order to comply with all requirements they are supposed to perform a line (route) check on type, something impossible before being hired.

The simulator here is Class D. Do you know where to find (if there is one) any regulation which deals with line check being performed on a class D sim?

Thanks for the help .

As far as I see it from the desk:

You can do your requalification P/C on the SIM Level "C" and "D".
After that You have to do some Line - training in the Aircraft and
then a Base-Check in the Aircraft as well. If they operate then
commercial they have to do a reccurent training after 6 month.
There are 2 recurrent training in 12 month and one P/C. The time
between the recurrent training should be minimum 3 month and
maximum 8 month.
The lengh of the line training can be determined by the relevant
company`s AOC. They can credit total hours, previous expirience
and position held. They need to prove the training programm
from the relevant Aviation Authority and then off they go.
