Requesting the procedure for securing a UK 1st Class Medical Certificate (JAR I guess).
Any suggestions on a particular favorite doctor? Please email me direct at

If it is an initial you will have to do it at Gatwick. I don't know about renewals. If you hold an ICAO ATPL with >500 hours, then it will only cost you 189 pounds.

I dont think you will have a choice on which
doctor - if its an initial.
Contact the CAA Medical Branch and they will schedule it www.srg.caa.co.uk (http://www.srg.caa.co.uk)

Actually, US ATP, 17,000 hours total time with commercial jet transport time. Going for first time JAR medical and will be working on JAA ATP. I guess you would consider that an initial so I am guessing the medical will be at Gatwick. Thanks everyone for your replies.
