National Gliding week was started to try to promote gliding to the public and there are various events at gliding clubs around the UK during the week. Have a look at www.nationalglidingweek.co.uk to see what events your local club is arranging and perhaps you might like to support it.
My local club is using an open day to raise money for the Air Ambulance service and we are getting support from all areas of aviation so take a look at the events page of www.glidingexperience.com for details. Maybe you might like to bring an interesting aircraft, warbird or vintage to add to the static display. PM me if you are interested.
